“So so good! The grilled cheese sandwiches were well worth the hype with the rich and tangy cheese that melts so well into the bread. Portions were generous and one sandwich is sure to keep you so full at about €13-€14. Tried the one with parma ham (you can choose your own protein and cheese) and it was decadent. Chez Alain himself was a bundle of joy and engaged in conversation with us. The crew were also all so friendly and patient, and overall this place is worth the queue and it's no wonder why people were still crowding all over the place at closing time.Options pour les végétariens : yes I would think an all vege option is availableRestrictions alimentaires : pork jambon so not recommended for those with halal dietary restrictionsParking : would recommend walking to the areaAdapté aux enfants : yes! im sure kids would love to create their own grilled cheese sandwich - cried favourite for all agesAccessibilité en fauteuil : not so accessible as the store is not too spacious and can be too crammed for wheelchairs to pass through easily, especially with the crowdsCuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 4/5Plats recommandés Prosciutto and Cheese Sandwich et Cooked Ham Place de parking Stationnement difficile à trouver Options de stationnement Stationnement impossible”
“Best sandwich I had in Paris! Nicely toasted and the saltiness from the ham and cheese balances very well. It's quite a big piece but they were nice to help us cut into 2 pieces. Came early and there was no queue. When it was closer to 12pm, a queue was forming outside. There are seats inside but limited.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 5/5”
“Long line, great sandwich only toasted, free sample and is it worth it? Maybe. You can’t honestly go with hot sandwich with cheese and meat. It can be a little messy to eat though. The line can be unbelievable long and not sure if it’s worth it.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 4/5 | Ambiance : 4/5Plats recommandés Ham and Cheese Crepe”
“I arrived on Saturday afternoon. I went to marché des enfants rouges only for this sandwich shop. The shop is outside the market, on a nearby street.I was waiting in a line for 30 minutes. the owner Alain talks with customers and regulates the line. After 17h, they don't take more customers.Inside , I ordered the customized sandwich. 5 people prepare sandwichs. Ask for toasted (toasté).Was the wait worth ?I took the extra pastrami (+2€) sandwich (15€ total + a socca (3€).The socca was really good, chickpea crêpe tastes like buckwheat crêpe, les crispy, more dense. The sandwich was warm , crunchy, well filled . It had all the ingredients. Will I come back ? Yes, not everyday.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 5/5Plats recommandés Prosciutto and Cheese Sandwich”
“Got a delicious sandwich filled with pastrami (an extra €2.50), Comté, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, toasted to perfection. I went to the shop around 10.30am and didn't have to wait to have my sandwich prepared. It was too early to eat my sandwich, so I popped my sandwich in a plastic zip bag (I came prepared!) and enjoyed the sights of Paris until it came time to sit in a park and enjoy it. The sandwich was delicious and I'm eager to come back to grab another soon, the exact same or something different. I ate the entire sandwich in one sitting and I was full for the rest of the day even after a lot of walking. The shop was having issues with their card payment system, which tripped up a few people coming in after me, but it's never a bad idea to have a bit of the local currency on you for times like this. There are a few tables inside the shop to eat in, but I think it does cost a few Euros more to do so.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 4/5 | Ambiance : 4/5”
“Voted to be the best sandwich in Paris and I can see why and fully agree. Perfect bread with generous portions of meat, veggies and toppings. Simple but works perfectly in a sandwich. Refreshingly polite and helpful employees and the owner himself. Definitely recommend if I'm Paris.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 4/5Plats recommandés ”
“The staff is extremely warm and friendly, and spoke very good English. To avoid a long queue, you should go prior to 1130am. I waited for about 10 minutes and received my sandwich (to go) about 10 minutes later too. You can head to the park nearby for a nice outdoor lunch. The sandwich is not “life changing” as some had mentioned; there is no such thing, but it was very delicious indeed.”
“There is a big line. We waited about an hour to have the food in our hands, but curiously it was worth it. Super nice staff and delicious sandwich, made with fresh ingredients. It is a big dose (very good price-quality relationship). If you don't mind waiting, I recommend it.Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 5/5”
“Very delicious spot! Highly recommend. My wife and I got a sandwich. I got the smoked meat and she got the prosciutto. Both were fantastic! I recommend going a little bit before lunch time before the lines get too long. Definitely worth checking out!Cuisine : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Ambiance : 5/5”
